Lebert Stewart Falconer
Retired Hotel Captain
Lebert Stewart Falconer, 66, of Bridgeton passed away Tuesday morning June 22, 2010 at South Jersey Extended Care Nursing Home in Bridgeton following a 5 year illness.
Born in Mocho St. James, Jamaica, he was the son of the late Vincent Stewart Faulkner and the late Ida Faulkner (nee McFarland).
After he completed high school, he served in the Jamaican Army and proudly served in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Following his honorable discharge, he took up the post of Hotel Captain at the Rose Hall Holiday Inn in Montego Bay, Jamaica. He retired after 20 years of service and moved to California where he continued his career in the hospitality industry.
He was a long time member of the True Liberty Church in Carmel where he served as a trustee. Mr. Falconer also loved country western music.
His survivors include six children, Delroy Falconer, Mikey Falconer, Sandra Falconer, Peter Falconer, Meredith Falconer and T.J. Falconer, three step children, Pat Tyme, Sharon "Meg" Chambers and George Falconer, 21 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and 12 siblings.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday afternoon July 2nd at 2 o'clock at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton with Rev. Joseph Faulkner officiating.
The interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday between 1 and 2 P.M.
