Dorothy Elaine DeMarco (nee Mills), 79, of Bridgeton passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon January 26, 2010 at the South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland.

The wife of the late Bennie A. DeMarco who passed away in 2007, they were married for over 60 years. She was born in Central City, PA and was the daughter of the late Raymond Mills and the late Elsie Mills (nee Shall).

A homemaker for her entire life, she and her husband owned and operated a shoe and upholstery repair shop in Johnstown, PA. Upon moving to Cumberland County she took a position in the packing department at Owens- Illinois Glass Co.

Mrs. DeMarco was a member of the Bridgeton Assembly of God and was baptized as a new member on January 17, 1993.

One of her favorite pastimes was going to the Atlantic City casinos.

She is survived by three grandsons, Joseph (Julie), Anthony (Stephanie) and Daniel, six great grandchildren, two sisters, Ruth "Dolly" Thomas and Faye Gaston and a brother, Raymond "Sonny" Mills all of PA, one sister-in-law, Nellie DeMarco of Bridgeton, many nieces and nephews and long time friend, Theresa Knipe. She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph A. DeMarco in 1996.

Friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, Trench Road in Hopewell Twp., on Monday February 1, 2010 at 12:30 P.M. with Rev. Franklin Stanley of the Bridgeton Assembly of God officiating.
The interment of cremated remains will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, 524 N. West Blvd., Vineland, NJ 08360.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton.
