Flora B. Robbins (nee Tyler)
Lifelong Area Resident
Flora B. Robbins (nee Tyler), 90, of Port Norris passed away Sunday evening January 24, 2010 at the Millville Center - Genesis Eldercare in Millville.
The wife of the late Kenneth B. Robbins who died in 1983, she was born in Baltimore, M.D. and was the daughter of the late Malcolm Tyler and the late Elizabeth Tyler (nee White). She was a graduate of Port Norris High School Class of 1938 and a life long area resident.
A homemaker for her entire life, she was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Port Norris and a life long member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by four children, Dorothy A. Simons (John) of Bridgeton, Jack H. Robbins of Bridgeton, Lemuel N. Robbins of Port Norris and Gary Robbins of Port Norris and five grandchildren, Amy Simons, Taylor and Morgan Robbins and Gary K. and Jody Robbins. She was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Lisa Robbins, one brother, Malcolm Tyler and one sister, Dorothy Botkin.
Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday afternoon, January 29th at 2 o'clock at the Port Norris Methodist Cemetery, corner of North Avenue and Main Street, Port Norris.
Memorial contributions may be made in Flora's memory to the First United Methodist Church of Port Norris, c/o Richard Smith, P.O. Box 473, Port Norris, NJ 08349.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton.
