Mary A. Uhland (nee Stephenson), 88, of Hopewell Twp., died on Sunday morning January 24, 2010 at The Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp.

The wife of the late Emil W. Uhland who passed away in 1964, she was born in Atlantic City and was the daughter of the late Robert Stephenson and Doro Stephenson (nee Poole). Mrs. Uhland was life long area resident.

She worked as a clerk for Balbernie's Pharmacy and Woodruff Drug Store in Bridgeton.

Mrs. Uhland will be remembered for her good sense of humor and her outspoken manner. She loved to read and solve crossword puzzles as well as test her knowledge watching "Jeopardy".
She is survived by two children, Susan Gildea of Wilmington, DE and Barry S. Uhland of Bridgeton, 9 grandchildren, Mike and John Lloyd, Stephanie Bohn, Barry Uhland Jr., Nino and Kaitlyn Tuso, Amy Enders and Paul and Tony Arno, several great grandchildren including her most recent grandson Angelo Arno. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith A. Tuso in 2006, one son, F. Thomas Lloyd in 2002, two brothers, John and Robert Stephenson and one sister, Thelma Dolbow.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday afternoon, January 28th at 2 o'clock at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton.

The interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday afternoon one hour prior to the service.
